清華大學近年致力推動跨領域學習與研究：

1. 清華大學的發展策略目標之一為4年內將大學部同學在「跨領域多元學習」比率從25%提升至80%。
2. 除了積極鼓勵學生跨領域學習，同時建立以人為本的研究環境，設立「清華傑出人才發展基金」，鼓勵優秀教師在單一學科研究之外，積極參與跨領域研究，引導學生自我實現，擴大大學之社會影響力及貢獻。
