升遷制度 Promotion System

本校教師升等制度除了著重學術產出,更透過制度設計體現對跨領域與多元貢獻的重視:

  1. 各級教評會在審查時,會針對該教師的教學、研究、服務與輔導成績作綜合考量:若教師在任一項有具體傑出成果,可申請加重該項審查比重,這為投入跨領域服務或具備社會影響力的研究者提供彈性空間。
  2. 除專門著作外,教師亦可選擇以「作品」、「成就證明」或「技術報告」作為升等代表作:這種機制支持了產學合作及應用型跨領域研究的成果轉譯。新進教師聘任亦優先考慮跨領域表現,如鼓勵跨領域合聘等。

The faculty promotion system at NTHU emphasizes not only academic output but also the value of interdisciplinary and diverse contributions through its institutional design:

  1. Comprehensive Evaluation and Flexible Weighting: When reviewing promotion cases, Faculty Evaluation Committees at all levels conduct a comprehensive assessment of the candidate's performance in teaching, research, service, and student counseling. If a faculty member has specific outstanding achievements in any one of these areas, they may apply to increase the weighting of that category in the review process. This provides flexible space for researchers dedicated to interdisciplinary service or those whose work has significant social impact.
  2. Diverse Representation of Achievements: In addition to specialized research publications, faculty members may choose to submit "works," "proof of achievement," or "technical reports" as their representative work for promotion. This mechanism supports industry-academia collaboration and the translation of applied interdisciplinary research results. Furthermore, the recruitment of new faculty also prioritizes interdisciplinary performance, such as encouraging interdisciplinary joint appointments.
